Terms & conditions
Last updated September 23, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Central Scotland Plumbing's website and set general terms for plumbing-service enquiries and work across Central Scotland. Any written quote, proposal, invoice or project agreement we provide may contain additional or different terms that control that specific job.
Website use
This website provides general information about Central Scotland Plumbing and our residential and commercial plumbing services. You may use it only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, or copy or exploit site content in a way that violates applicable law or our rights.
Website content is not plumbing, engineering, safety or legal advice and is not a substitute for an on-site assessment. Service descriptions, availability, service areas and expected timing may change without notice.
Requests and service agreements
Calling, texting, emailing, messaging us or sending a request through this website does not create a service contract or guarantee an appointment.
A job is accepted only after Central Scotland Plumbing and the customer agree on the work to be carried out. The written quote, proposal, work authorisation or invoice for an accepted job forms part of the agreement and controls if it conflicts with these general terms.
Quotes, scope and changes
Quotes are based on the information and visible conditions available when they are prepared. Conditions concealed behind walls, below floors, underground, within existing systems or otherwise not reasonably observable may require additional labour, materials, testing or changes to the planned work.
If the scope changes or an unforeseen condition is discovered, we will explain the issue and seek approval for additional work and pricing before proceeding where reasonably practicable. Unless a written quote states otherwise, it may be revised before acceptance if material or labour costs, site conditions or the requested scope change.
Scheduling, access and safety
Appointment times are good-faith estimates and may change because of emergency call-outs, traffic, weather, parts availability or conditions on an earlier job. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays.
The customer must provide safe, timely and reasonable access to the property and work area; identify known hazards, utility lines, stopcocks, restrictions and relevant property conditions; secure pets; and ensure an authorised adult is available when required. We may pause or decline work when conditions are unsafe, unlawful or materially different from those described.
Customer authority and property
By authorising work, you confirm that you own the property or have authority from the owner to approve the work. You are responsible for obtaining any landlord, factor or other private approval unless our written agreement expressly assigns that responsibility to us.
Before work begins, remove or protect valuables and personal property near the work area. Plumbing work may require water or utility interruptions, access openings or removal of existing materials as described in the agreed scope.
Materials, fixtures and regulations
Product availability, finish, model and delivery timing are subject to supplier availability. Substitutions require customer approval when they materially change the agreed product or price.
When a customer supplies a fixture, appliance or material, the customer is responsible for its selection, completeness, condition, compatibility and manufacturer guarantee. Additional time or materials needed because a customer-supplied item is defective, incomplete, incompatible or delayed may result in additional charges.
Any required approvals or inspections will be handled as stated in the job's written scope. Fees or corrective work outside that scope may be additional. No person may ask us to carry out work that violates applicable regulations or safety requirements.
Deposits, invoices and payment
Pricing and any required deposit or staged payment schedule will be stated in the quote, proposal or invoice. Unless the written agreement provides otherwise, payment is due when the invoiced work is completed. The customer is responsible for approved additional work and materials.
If an invoice is disputed, contact us promptly on 07717 198 133 or at mail@central-plumbers.co.uk so the issue can be reviewed. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any charge for special-order materials, work already carried out, non-returnable items or other committed job expenses will be disclosed and handled under the applicable written quote or agreement.
Workmanship, guarantees and exclusions
Any guarantee that applies to a specific job will be described in the written quote, invoice or warranty information provided for that work. Manufacturer guarantees, when available, are provided by the manufacturer and remain subject to the manufacturer's terms.
Unless expressly included in writing, our work does not cover pre-existing defects; concealed or unrelated conditions; normal wear; misuse, neglect, freezing, contamination or lack of maintenance; work altered or repaired by others; customer-supplied product defects; or failures outside the agreed scope. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.
Limits of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Central Scotland Plumbing is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from website use or conditions outside the agreed scope of work. We remain responsible for obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Links to third-party services, including WhatsApp, email, telephone and text-message providers, are offered for convenience. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, security or privacy practices.
Governing law and severability
These terms and any service agreement are governed by the laws of Scotland. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Changes apply to website use after publication and do not replace the specific written terms already agreed for completed or active work unless both parties agree in writing.
